The International Eilat–Ashdod/Gaza Corridor: A Wide Canal
Exclusive report: With the aim of strengthening the State of Israel and advancing the economy and industry in Israel and worldwide, a group of senior Israeli executives, local and foreign investors, and Jewish communities in Israel and across the Diaspora have decided to promote and work toward establishing a maritime canal between Eilat and the Port of Ashdod for ship transit.
The proposed international project would connect Eilat to the Port of Ashdod, or alternatively to the future economic zone “GazaLand” (USA), creating an integrated corridor for energy and critical infrastructure. The canal would be wide and deep, enabling the simultaneous passage of four vessels. In addition, the project is expected to deliver significant environmental, economic, and social impacts.
Global infrastructure companies have already expressed preliminary interest. The corridor would offer a choice of routes, strengthen trade, and anchor long-term economic and regional stability.
With God’s help, we shall act and succeed!
